True to the motto „experiencing and understanding metals”, high school students from all over Austria are visiting the University of Leoben in order to explore the different fields of metallurgy and the city of Leoben during the "Metal Days" from July 5th-8th, 2010.

TU Austria is Number 1 in University Ranking |

In an online survey, commissioned by the weekly magazine "Format", more than a hundred personnel managers from Austrian enterprises and professional personnel consultants have named the three universities of the TU Austria (Technical University of Vienna, University of Leoben and the Technical University of Graz) the best universities in Austria. 56% of the interviewees awarded the distinction "outstanding" to the University of Leoben and the Technical University of Vienna, followed by the University of Technology of Graz with 51%.

Water-resistant paper which can be composted after its use – this is, according to a public vote commissioned by the Trade Association of the Engineering Offices, the “SuperdING” 2010. The award was presented at the “plannING day 10” at the Casineum in Velden.
