The University Centre for Applied Geosciences in Styria (UZAG) comprises the expertise and infrastructure of the geoscientific institutes of the University of Leoben, University of Graz and Technical University of Graz on outstanding research and education of highly qualified scientists in the area of applied geosciences.

Within this scope, the University of Leoben offers in its field of competence the doctorate programme Geogenic Resources: Formation – Prospection – Utilization. The programme supports doctorate thesis projects at the Department for Applied Geosciences and Geophysics (DAGG).
