The student computer room will now remain closed until further notification. University management body and ÖH (Austrian National Union of Students - Leoben) have decided that there is no need for this facility anymore.

Lotus Notes: Error using DWA in Firefox 4 |
|
|
There is a problem with DWA (Domino Web Access) when using Firefox 4. Some optimization routines are no longer supported. After installing the next Lotus Notes Fix Pack on our server the problem should be solved.
Please use Firefox 3 to ensure proper DWA function. Further information will follow as soon as possible.

MSDN Academic Alliance |

The University of Leoben is now a member of the MSDN Academic Alliance Program. This means to students and staff/faculty, Microsoft software at no cost (that includes Windows platforms, server and developer tools etc.) for their lab computers and their personal computers. MSDNAA usage guidelines and the MSDN End-User License Agreement (EULA) apply.

Webmail problems - Internet Explorer 8 |
|
Users may experience some problems sending mails with the student webmail using Internet Explorer 8. If you reply to a e-mail message and press the "Send Message" button it is possible that you get following error message: "HTTP Error 400 Bad request". As a result the message has not been sent.
If you get this message, please look at the troubleshooting checklist:
1) Start Internet Explorer 8. On the Tools menu, click 'Compatibility View Settings'. Add 'unileoben.ac.at' to Compatibility View.
2) Compose a new message instead of replying.
3) Use alternative browsers like Firefox, Chrome or Opera.
Alternative 1 helps partially. As far as our experience goes alternative 2 and 3 are the best solutions. Not all IE8 installations show this error.
