Webmail problems - Internet Explorer 8 Print
Users may experience some problems sending mails with the student webmail using Internet Explorer 8. If you reply to a e-mail message and press the "Send Message" button it is possible that you get following error message: "HTTP Error 400 Bad request". As a result the message has not been sent.

If you get this message, please look at the troubleshooting checklist:

1) Start Internet Explorer 8. On the Tools menu, click 'Compatibility View Settings'. Add 'unileoben.ac.at' to Compatibility View.

2) Compose a new message instead of replying.

3) Use alternative browsers like Firefox, Chrome or Opera.


Alternative 1 helps partially. As far as our experience goes alternative 2 and 3  are the best solutions. Not all IE8 installations show this error.
