Blasting Engineering (University Course) |
Course aim and target audience
The course has been conceptualized with master craftsmen, engineers and graduate engineers in mind, who are involved with the complex task of above ground extraction blasting. Participation in the course requires a blasting permit or, alternatively, comprehensive experience on the subject of planning and executing blasting operations.
Course contents and focus
The university course addresses innovations and experiences relating to blasting operations in surface mining, rock quarries and in construction (rock blasting), calculating the blasting installations, introduction of modern procedures for monitoring the blasting operations, or the environmental impact from blasting operations. The instruction also includes a practical blasting course.
Skills and expertise
After completing the course, in addition to the comprehensive technical skills the students will have the opportunity to obtain their blasting permit for general as well as deep borehole blasting work.

€ 1,300 / € 650 for Students (not including travel and accommodation expenses)
- 30 % of the tuition fees have to be paid four weeks in advance before the university course starts.
- The remaining tuition fees have to be paid within four weeks after the completion of the course
