The new centre proves that economy and science complement each other welll in Upper Styria, and they truly abide by the spirit of innovation, stimulating economic growth in the region“. "For the University of Leoben, the Raw Materials Innovation Centre is an important step in strengthening one of the university’s core competences in the cooperation with the industry“, Rector Wolfhard Wegscheider said. „While throughout Europe, university and education resources in the raw materials sector have been cut, Leoben has been investing in this field over the last years, not least because of our realisation of how important raw materials are not only in energy issues, but also in the raised added value of products.
