In the presence of Rector Wolfhard Wegscheider, Vice Rector Hubert Biedermann, Head of Library Christian Hasenhüttl and Head of Department Prof. Clemens Holzer, the new library of the Department Polymer Engineering and Science was inaugurated on May 31st, 2011. On the 2nd floor of the Centre for Polymer Engineering and Science, the 156 m2 library now boasts more than 5500 books and 12 subscribed scientific journals. Students and staff can freely access the modern and user-friendly special library that also features three PC workstations. The library is conveniently located in close proximity to the laboratories and research facilities. According to Hasenhüttl, the library comprises literature for all the six Chairs of the Polymer Science and Engineering Department, and is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.
