Leoben Physicist receives Anton Paar Science Award Print
Dipl.-Phys. Dr. Igor Beinik, project assistant at the Institute of Physics at the Montanuniversitaet Leoben, has received the Anton Paar Science Award in Physics 2011 in Lausanne, France. The award, worth 2,000 euros, was presented at the annual meeting of the Swiss Physical Society and the Austrian Physical Society (ÖGP).
Bleinik was recognized for his outstanding dissertation, which was funded within the project of the FWF Austrian Science Fund, on the application of the conductive atomic force microscopy on the characterization of semiconductor nanostructures. The best dissertation in the field of solid-state physics is yearly sponsored by the Anton Paar GmbH, and recognized by the Technical Committee Solid-State Physics of the ÖGP.
