Joint International Master Program in Petroleum Engineering

The Chair of Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Recovery has worked together with the UFA State Petroleum Technological University to introduce the new educational program: “Design and Operation of Pipelines and Storage Facilities”.

As a result of these joint efforts, the Rectors of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and Montanuniversität Leoben signed a cooperation agreement in June 2018.

The Joint International Master Program in Petroleum Engineering only starts in the winter semester. There is a selection process and the number of places is limited. Students can only be enrolled and matriculated during the matriculation periods.

Students who join the program will study the first semester at their home universities (MUL or UFA), for the second semester, all the students will attend the lectures at UFA and for the third semester, all the students will attend the lectures at MUL. Finally, they will work on their Master Thesis project at their home University. The subject of the Master Thesis must be approved by both Universities and it shall be defended at the home university.
