First ESEE Dialogue Conference

More than 100 Participants from 22 Countries attended the first ESEE Dialogue Conference at the end of November 2014 in Leoben.

The ESEE-Initiative is the essential element of a common application for the raw-material focussed KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community). An application by Montanuniversität Leoben and an international consortium, the regarding decision is expected mid-December.

KICs bring together partners in education, research and economy. Founded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technologies (EIT), their internal structure and administration remain independent. Their aim is to improve innovative research and spread processes which can potentially improve Europe’s international competitiveness.

Aim of the first ESEE Dialogue Conference was to unite partners from east and south-east European countries (ESEE) with partners from the KIC consortium, in order to establish a new network. Particular importance was given to partner’s current projects, ideas for upcoming projects and cooperation-aims.
