Asset Evaluation

Asset evaluation by criteria assessment deals with the central question: ‘Which of my company's assets are to be categorised as critical?

This evaluation methodology thus enables an objective and comparable evaluation of assets and at the same time provides an opportunity to critically review the experts' empirical knowledge. Furthermore, the asset valuation can be used as a basis for decision-making on asset management issues such as investment decisions, outsourcing, maintenance measures or maintenance budgeting. In order to meet the constantly increasing demands on the market, such as increasing plant availability, flexibility and automation, but also reducing costs and time, the plant evaluation is used to support maintenance management.

The LSM tool ‘Plant evaluation’ is therefore an excellent way of determining the criticality of a plant by selecting and defining criteria independently for a specific company and thus supporting the identification of critical plants. The integrated weighting of the individual criteria in relation to each other enables an even more precise determination of criticality and thus the influence of the selected criteria on a wide variety of systems. A company-specific grading of the system criteria and subsequent evaluation of the individual criteria completes the identification of critical systems.

Thanks to the simple handling and rapid evaluation methodology, several systems can be evaluated within a short period of time, which in turn saves time and money for the company. This tool therefore offers a possibility that can be customised to the company to evaluate systems and make statements about suitable maintenance measures based on the resulting criticality.
