CD-Laboratory for Design and Evaluation of an Efficient, Recycling-Based Circular Economy
Project description
The CD-Laboratory aims to contribute to the objectives of the EU Circular Economy Package by establishing the scientific basis for the efficient recovery of secondary raw materials from various municipal waste streams, which will be carried out in two modules.
In Module 1, a new method for evaluating the economic and ecological efficiency of recycling in municipal waste management systems is being developed. In Module 2, automated waste sorting technologies that go beyond the current state of the art are being investigated and further developed. At chair AVAW, the topics of Module 2 are the focus of research.
