Materials Science
The newly designed Master's programme in Materials Science (120 ECTS) started in autumn 2025 and offer you comprehensive and modern training. Over three semesters, you will deepen your knowledge in compulsory subjects relating to metallic, ceramic and functional materials, their structure-property relationships, materials technology, materials physics and data-based materials design. In the fourth semester, you will apply your knowledge in a Master's thesis on a current materials science issue.
A new elective concept with 14 different modules allows you to tailor your education to your individual needs and set your own priorities. This gives you the opportunity to further your education in the areas that interest you most.
After completing your studies, you will have an in-depth understanding of those areas of materials science that are particularly important to you. This will prepare you optimally for exciting tasks in research, development and industry and enable you to shape your career successfully.
