The award-winning publication entitled “Microstructural insights into the coarse-grained heat-affected zone of a high-strength all-weld metal: Development of a continuous cooling transformation diagram” focuses on the detailed investigation of the microstructure of an all-weld metal with the highest commercially available yield strength. The results provide an improved understanding as well as a targeted determination and evaluation of microstructural constituents within the heat-affected zone.
Due to its high practical relevance, the same publication was also awarded with the Richard-Marek Prize for Innovative Solutions in Welding
