Designated Ambassador of Mongolia at Leoben

Technical University of Leoben was honoured to welcome H.E. Mr. Munkhtur Dorjraa, designated Ambassador of Mongolia, for an official visit to the university. Rector Univ.-Prof received the Ambassador. Dr. Peter Moser, in a meeting attended by Dr. Riyaz Kharrat, International Project Manager, and Dipl.-Ing. Robert Obenaus-Emler, Head of the Research & Innovation Center (RIC).

The meeting focused on the successful cooperation between Technical University of Leoben (TUL) and the Education Loan Fund (ELF) of the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, which enables outstanding Mongolian students to pursue degree studies at MUL. Both sides reviewed the partnership's progress, discussed the status of current student cohorts, and explored further opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation and student mobility. 

As part of the visit, the Ambassador also toured the Study Support Center (SSC), where Bianca Sieberer presented the study programs at Technical University of Leoben and provided an overview of the ELF cooperation. The discussion covered the academic progress of the current Mongolian students, the application status of the newly nominated cohort, and the comprehensive support provided to ensure their successful integration into university life. 

The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for Leoben's commitment to international education and student support. The visit reaffirmed the strong partnership between TUL and Mongolia, with both sides expressing their commitment to further expanding cooperation in higher education, research, and student exchange.
