Do you want to design machines? Construct them? Revolutionise them?
Mechanical engineers shape this path of development in a sustainable and innovative way, dealing with a wide range of technical disciplines from energy technology to aerospace. In addition to economic factors, the consideration of ecological impacts and aspects of the circular economy, as well as the possibilities of digitalisation in the development of new machines and systems, play a major role.
For example, you can pursue a career as a machine designer, design engineer or plant engineer.
How do visions that inspire us become innovations that drive us forward?
In the application-oriented Bachelor's programme in Mining Engineering, you will combine technical, analytical and creative skills and acquire in-depth knowledge in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, materials science and manufacturing technology.
You will learn to carry out engineering tasks in an innovative, functionally and cost-optimised manner that is also environmentally friendly. In addition, you will work together with other research areas at the Montanuniversität to develop mechanical engineering solutions, from the technical and economic planning of machines for the extraction and processing of raw materials to their use as high-tech products.
