PPI 2026

Instructions for abstract preparation and submission

To submit an abstract, please use the Abstract_Template_PPI2026 template (download Word Doc) and upload it via the submit button (see below) along with your details. Please do not forget to specify whether you are planning an oral presentation or a poster presentation before submitting.

The official language of PPI 2026 is English.

Each participant may submit up to 2 abstracts.

​If the abstract is accepted, upon your request you may prepare an extended abstract of your work to be included in the Conference Proceedings (use Extended_Abstract_Template_PPI2026, (download Word Doc)) that will be published after the conference (including ISBN number). A selected number of extended abstracts will be invited to submit a journal paper for a special issue within 'Plastics, Rubber and Composites: Macromolecular Engineering' and others to be defined.

All accepted abstracts and accepted proceedings are included in the Conference Abstracts Booklet. The conference proceedings will be made available for download after the conference. You will receive a link to them at the email address you provided during registration.

The best 10 papers will be selected by the Scientific Committee and we plan to publish in a special edition in the Journal of Plastics, Rubber and Composites: Macromolecular Engineering

Presentation files can be only accepted as *.PDF, *.PPT, or *.PPTX (PowerPoint).
Please upload your presentation in advance to our ownCloud (for larger files) or send it by email to info-ppi26(at)unileoben.ac.at.

• Extended Abstract: You are warmly invited to submit an extended abstract for inclusion in the conference proceedings. More info see Abstracts submission and conference proceedings​
• Poster Specifications: Please prepare your poster in DIN A0, portrait (vertical) format.
• Poster Delivery: Please bring your printed poster to the Reception Desk Erzherzog Johann Tract (Groundfloor)  during the Welcome Evening on September 1, 2026, where it will be collected and prepared for display.

Travelling by plane and don't want to carry your poster?

If transporting your poster is inconvenient, you are welcome to have it printed in Leoben instead. We will arrange collection from the local print shop on your behalf, so your poster will be ready for the conference. Here's what you have to do:

1. Send Your File
   Email your poster file (preferably as a high-resolution PDF) directly to our local printing partner at: buero@druckplatz.online.
   Please state clearly in your email that you need a poster printed for the PPI 2026 conference and CC us (info-ppi@unileoben.ac.at) so that we’re kept in the loop.
2. Complete the Payment
   The print shop will reply with an invoice for the printing costs. Please settle this payment directly with them via the provided instructions.
3. Leave the Rest to Us :)
   You only need to send the file and pay the invoice — we will handle the logistics! Once your poster is ready, our organising team will pick it up from the print shop and bring it directly to the conference venue for you.

We’ll let you know the deadline by which you must send the poster to the printers at the latest, so that we can collect it in good time. 

Academic authors (hereinafter also referred to as “submitting authors”) are invited to submit a poster for the “6th International Conference on Polymer Process Innovation (PPI).”

All submissions will be reviewed by the organizing team to ensure they align with the objectives and scope of the conference proceedings. If the submission is accepted for publication, the submitting author will be notified electronically. By initially submitting the poster for the conference proceedings, the submitting author automatically consents to publication. 

Granting of rights to a submitted poster

By submitting their work, the submitting author grants the Institute of Polymer Processing at Department of Polymer Engineering and Science at Montanuniversität Leoben, the right to publish the poster as part of the “6th International Conference on Polymer Process Innovation (PPI).” In addition, the submitting person as author grants Institute of Polymer Processing at Department of Polymer Engineering and Science at Montanuniversität Leoben the geographically unrestricted and temporally limited right of 5 years to reproduce and distribute the poster in physical and digital form, the right to publicly reproduce and make available the poster, the right to store it on electronic data carriers and the right to distribute and reproduce it, as well as the right to exploit it in any other way in electronic form. The submitting author assures that they are the author and that they hold the copyright usage rights to the poster, including all tables, illustrations, graphics and journals contained therein. The submitting person, as the author, is free to republish the poster.

There is no entitlement to remuneration.
