You have a bachelor's degree in science or engineering and want to make a greater impact?
Then the international joint master's track “Responsible Consumption and Production” (RCP) – part of the New Science and Technology master's programme – is the next step for you.
The programme is represented and supported by nine universities across eight countries.
Each university contributes its own academic focus and expertise to the programme.
What to expect from the study programme?
Mobility is a core element of the programme. You will spend at least one semester at a partner university in Germany, Greece, Poland, France, Spain, Romania or Belgium, depending on your specialisation and the available courses. This mobility phase is fully recognised and accounts for at least 30 ECTS credits. You will complete the specialisation modules at the host university, while the majority of your remaining coursework will be completed at your home university.
The master's programme offers three core specialisation tracks:

focuses on the development, use and recycling of materials, including their properties, durability and recyclability. Mobility options for this track include: Hochschule Mittweida in Germany, Technical University of Crete in Greece, Silesian University of Technology in Poland, Université de Lorraine in France, Hasselt University in Belgium, Universidad de León in Spain, and Universitatea din Petroșani in Romania.
focuses on how companies can be structured in a sustainable, efficient and strategic way to enable responsible consumption and production. Mobility options for this track include: Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany, Silesian University of Technology in Poland, Université de Lorraine in France, Hasselt University in Belgium, Universidad de León in Spain and Universitatea din Petroșani in Romania.
You can also benefit from virtual courses, webinars, orientation programmes and joint online modules offered through the EURECA-PRO platform. All partner universities provide short-format learning opportunities such as summer schools, international weeks, and blended intensive programmes that enrich your studies. These formats are compact, practice-oriented and internationally connected.
What are your career opportunities?
With your degree, a wide range of in-demand career opportunities will be open to you – including roles such as Sustainability Manager, Energy Engineer, Product Developer for Sustainable Materials, or Green Tech Consultant.
You’ll also be well-qualified for positions in the public sector – for example within EU institutions, the United Nations, NGOs – as well as in research and innovation.
You will become a specialist in the key areas shaping today’s and tomorrow’s job market: sustainability, innovation, and international collaboration.
