While each group followed its own thematic track, selected joint sessions were designed to foster exchange across roles, regions and programmes.
The event was opened by Rector Peter Moser and Susanne Feiel, Head of the Department of International Relations and European University. Both highlighted the university's commitment to fostering global cooperation and officially welcomed the attendees to the Technical University of Leoben.
The Programme
The three staff weeks of the European University on Responsible Consumption and Production (EURECA-PRO) on the topics of communication, innovation, and international relations formed a central part of the programme. They focused on the exchange of best practices, promoting knowledge exchange and strengthening networks between partner universities.
The Participants of the International Week also took part in a series of guided tours. These included visits to the Zentrum am Berg (ZaB), the Hydrogen & Carbon Research Center and the Digital Waste Research Lab. In addition, city and campus tours provided the attendees with a deeper insight into the cultural and the academic life in Leoben. A diverse cultural programme complemented the academic sessions, featuring an evening celebrating the cooperation with Indian partners and an Austrian evening showcasing local culture, music and cuisine.
The International Week was a wonderful opportunity to bring the Technical University of Leoben even closer to its international partners and to foster cooperation for upcoming projects.
