Workshop-Modul „Energy“

Nothing works without energy, but what exactly is it? What types of energy are there? And what are renewable energy sources anyway?

In the "Energy" workshop module at the Teaching and Learning Laboratory at the Montanuniversität Leoben, pupils can find out exactly that for themselves. In small groups of two to three children, the girls and boys conduct research at various experimental stations and record their results in a "research notebook".

„Hands-on“ in small groups

The pupils make assumptions and answer "research questions". This allows the children to immerse themselves in the exciting world of research and get hands-on experience. They are supported in the two-hour workshop by a team of students and educators from the Montanuniversität and the Augustinum Private University of Education. All materials for the experiments are provided. There is also something to take home for further research.

The workshop is suitable for primary school classes (especially lower secondary level II), but also for Year 7 secondary school and grammar school pupils (Year 5).

We look forward to welcoming lots of curious little researchers!
